Meet Therapist Jenn
I'm Jenn Ekeoba, MBA, MEd, LPC, Founder and Clinical Director of The SHIFT Mental Wellness, PLLC. With more than 15 years of experience spanning counseling, behavioral health, human resources, and leadership development, I have had the privilege of supporting teens and adults across Texas in achieving personal, emotional, and professional growth.
My experience includes private practice, behavioral health, higher education, and clinical leadership, where I have helped expand access to mental health services and support the development of future clinicians. I am also pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, with a research focus on the mental health experiences of Black women.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, or the weight of high expectations, you'll find an authentic, down-to-earth therapist who brings compassion, humor, and practical strategies to help you move forward with confidence.

Successful yet exhausted? Accomplished yet overwhelmed? Even when life looks successful from the outside, you may still be carrying stress, navigating transitions, or facing challenges that deserve care and attention. You deserve a space where you can reflect, process your experiences, and receive support without feeling like you have to have all the answers.
I believe high-achieving Black women deserve a therapeutic space where their strengths are recognized, their experiences are understood, and they can navigate life's challenges without minimizing the realities that have shaped their journey. With more than 10 years of experience in education and special education, I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach to therapy.
Together, we'll explore the expectations, strengths, and experiences that have influenced your path while creating space for healing, personal growth, and meaningful change. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and confident as you move toward the life you want to create.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up fully—without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you have to have it all together. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, and I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful change.
I am passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, identity development, self-esteem, stress, burnout, and grief. I strive to create an affirming and culturally responsive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel seen, heard, and valued.
Together, we'll combine compassion with practical strategies to build self-awareness, strengthen healthy coping skills, and help you move toward the life you want to create. My goal is to help you cultivate confidence, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships with yourself and others.
